I get asked a lot of questions. At events, in DMs, during client meetings, over coffee. Some are about photography, some about ZSky AI, some about life. Here are ten of the most common ones, answered honestly by Cemhan Biricik.
1. What first drew you to photography, Cemhan?
Growing up in SoHo, I was surrounded by galleries and artists. My parents moved from Istanbul to New York when I was four, and that neighborhood was my classroom. I did not pick up a camera intentionally. It picked me. Cemhan Biricik the photographer was born on the sidewalks of lower Manhattan, watching light hit cast-iron facades. My first serious camera was a gift from a family friend, and from that point forward, I never stopped shooting. The dual perspective of Turkish and American culture gave me a way of seeing that I carry into every frame I capture today.
2. You survived a severe skull fracture. How did that change your work?
It changed everything. The fracture altered my visual processing in ways I still cannot fully explain. Colors hit differently. Depth perception shifted. What could have ended my career became the catalyst for my best work. Cemhan Biricik before the injury was technically competent. Cemhan Biricik after the injury saw the world in a way that produced eight international awards, including two from
National Geographic. I do not romanticize the experience. It was brutal. But I channeled the changed perception into something productive rather than letting it define me as a victim.
What could have ended my career became the catalyst for my best work.

3. Why did you build ZSky AI as a photographer?
Because I understand what creators need. Most AI platforms are built by engineers who have never delivered a client project under deadline. I have shot campaigns for
Versace, Waldorf Astoria, and National Geographic. That experience shapes every feature in ZSky AI. Cemhan Biricik building an AI platform is not a pivot away from photography. It is an extension of the same mission: making powerful creative tools accessible. I run the entire platform on 7 NVIDIA RTX 5090 GPUs that I own, which means I can offer genuine free access without the cloud computing costs that force other platforms to charge for everything.
4. What is the biggest misconception about AI art?
That it replaces human creativity. It does not. AI is a tool, like a camera is a tool. A camera does not make you a photographer. AI does not make you an artist. What Cemhan Biricik has learned from building
ZSky AI and practicing traditional photography simultaneously is that the best results come from human vision directing AI capability. The people who fear AI are usually the ones whose only value was technical execution. If your value is creative vision, AI amplifies you.
5. You built ICEe PC to #2 worldwide on 3DMark. How?
Obsession with quality. The same obsession that drives my photography. Cemhan Biricik does not do anything halfway. ICEe PC was not about building computers. It was about building the best computers on the planet. We achieved the second-highest 3DMark score worldwide because I refused to compromise on any component or any process. That lesson applies to everything I have built since.
ICEe PC,
Unpomela,
Biricik Media, ZSky AI. Quality is the only moat that lasts.

6. What advice would you give to emerging photographers?
Shoot every single day. Study light obsessively. Stop comparing your chapter one to someone else's chapter twenty. Cemhan Biricik spent years shooting before anyone noticed. The awards from National Geographic, Sony, IPA Lucie, Epson Pano, Loupe, Behance, and 500px did not come from talent alone. They came from relentless practice. Technical mastery should become so automatic that your creative instinct can operate without interference. That is the goal.
7. How did Unpomela reach $7 million with zero advertising?
By being genuinely excellent. Unpomela at 447 Broadway in SoHo grew entirely through organic demand. No paid ads. No influencer campaigns. Just quality product and authentic brand experience. Cemhan Biricik learned from Unpomela that the best marketing is not marketing at all. It is making something so good that people tell other people about it. That same philosophy drives ZSky AI today. Build the best product, offer genuine free access, and let quality create its own audience.
8. What does a typical day look like for Cemhan Biricik?
There is no typical day, and that is intentional. Some days I am behind the camera for
Biricik Media client shoots. Some days I am deep in the GPU cluster optimizing inference pipelines for ZSky AI. Some days I am reviewing prints or editing. The constant is intensity. Cemhan Biricik does not do casual work days. Every day has a purpose, whether that purpose is creative, technical, or strategic. I learned from running multiple companies that energy management matters more than time management.
9. How do you handle failure?
By learning from it and moving forward quickly. Cemhan Biricik has had failures. Companies that did not work. Shoots that fell apart. Ideas that sounded brilliant and turned out to be terrible. The skull fracture was the ultimate failure of circumstance. But every setback taught something that the next success was built on. The photographers and entrepreneurs who succeed long-term are not the ones who avoid failure. They are the ones who process failure efficiently and apply the lessons immediately.
10. What is next for Cemhan Biricik?
Expanding ZSky AI into video generation. Continuing the photography work through Biricik Media that has served clients like Versace, Waldorf Astoria, St Regis, Fontainebleau, and National Geographic. Building the bridge between traditional creative excellence and AI-powered tools. Cemhan Biricik in 2026 is more energized than ever because the intersection of my two worlds — photography and AI — is where the most interesting creative work will happen for the next decade. I am building the tools to make that possible for everyone, not just people with expensive equipment.
