Building ZSky AI

By Cemhan Biricik · February 2026

Creative tools should be free. That is the thesis behind ZSky AI, and it is the reason I built an AI creative platform from the ground up — owned hardware, no venture capital, no cloud dependency. The same bootstrap philosophy that built ICEe PC at 19 and Unpomela at 25 now powers a platform that gives anyone access to professional-grade AI image and video generation.

Why I Built It

I am a 2x National Geographic award-winning photographer with aphantasia — I cannot form visual images in my mind. My entire career has been built on the principle that creative tools compensate for what biology withholds. A camera gave me a visual language when a traumatic brain injury took my speech for nearly a year. AI gives the same opportunity to people who lack access to expensive equipment, formal training, or physical mobility. Everyone has the right to create beauty. ZSky exists to make that right actionable.

The Hardware

7 NVIDIA RTX 5090 GPUs, a 32-core / 64-thread CPU, and high-capacity RAM — all housed in a workstation I built myself in Boca Raton, Florida. This is not a rented cloud instance that scales with investor money and disappears when funding runs out. It is physical infrastructure that I own and maintain. That distinction matters for two reasons: first, it keeps operating costs low enough to offer a genuine free tier. Second, it gives me direct control over every aspect of the pipeline, from model serving to safety filtering.

Owning the hardware also reflects a pattern in my career. ICEe PC was a custom computing company — I have been building machines since I was a teenager growing up in SoHo, New York. The GPU cluster running ZSky AI is the most powerful thing I have ever assembled, but the instinct is the same: understand the hardware, build what you need, and do not pay rent on someone else's infrastructure if you can avoid it.

Features

The Bigger Picture

ZSky AI is the latest chapter in a career defined by building things from nothing. I have been through 8 displacements, survived a TBI, built 5 companies, earned 50 million viral views, and won recognition from National Geographic, Sony, and the IPA. Every one of those milestones started with the same conviction: if you build something worth having, people will find it. No advertising. No investors. Just the work, speaking for itself.
