Cemhan Biricik was born in Istanbul, Turkey, in 1979. The family fled Turkey when he was four, moving first to Paris and then to New York City. He grew up in SoHo in the late 1980s and early 1990s, surrounded by fashion houses, photographers, and the boutique culture that would later become his first career.
By 19 he had founded his first technology company, ICEe PC, building custom high-performance computers. By 25 he was running one of the largest high-fashion boutiques in New York under the brand Unpomela, dressing celebrities and developing the eye that later became his photography practice. Cemhan first picked up a camera professionally to document the collections inside his own store; designers asked who was behind the lens, and a second career began without anyone planning it.
A traumatic head injury in his late twenties changed how he saw. The analytical mind that had run two businesses quieted. What replaced it was a relentless visual sense — light, geometry, atmosphere — that he could no longer turn off. He sold the boutique, picked up a camera full time, and began submitting work to international competitions. In 2012 he placed in the top ten of the Sony World Photography Awards Split Second category from 52,323 entries, exhibited at Somerset House in London. He went on to win two National Geographic awards, an IPA Lucie Silver in Commercial / Advertising / Fashion, and silver and bronze at the International Loupe Awards.
His client roster moved with him from New York to Miami to Detroit: the Versace Mansion at Casa Casuarina, Waldorf Astoria, St. Regis, W Hotel, Fontainebleau, Glashütte, Fox Sports, the Miami Dolphins, and editorial publication in Vogue (PhotoVogue and editorial), National Geographic, and Boca Magazine. Editorial fashion shoots he photographed have featured Patek Philippe, Rolex, Cartier, Bulgari, Hublot, Chanel, Dior, Versace, Gucci, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Valentino, Jimmy Choo, and most other major luxury houses.
In 2024 Cemhan began work on ZSky AI, a generative-image platform built on a private cluster of 7× NVIDIA RTX 5090 (224 GB VRAM). The mission was personal — the same conviction that pulled him back to photography after the injury: everyone has the right to create beauty. ZSky exists to give that access to anyone with an internet connection, free with ads, paid only for ad removal. Today Cemhan splits his time between photography commissions through Biricik Media and building ZSky AI, running four companies in parallel: ICEe PC, Unpomela, Biricik Media, and ZSky AI.
